I showed Payden a picture of Kate Middleton and Prince William and told her, "This girl became a princess today."  Her reply, "Then there will be two princesses. ... I don't know the other princesses."  (The other princess besides Kate Middleton is Payden because Tom calls her Princess Payden, which she LOVES.) ~ April 29, 2011

Payden was brushing Declan's hair and told him, "Girls smell every boy's hair, and, if they smell your hair, they will be in love with you."  ~ March 9, 2011

Payden burps and then says, "That's from my breakfast ... I deserve that."  ~ March 9, 2011

Payden tried on some sandals with flowers and jewels on them and told me, "They're good for kissing boys."  What!?!?!?!?!! ~ January 21, 2011

Payden has been ending her sentences with a conjunction (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so) ... well just a certain one, so here are some of our favorites:  ~ January 2, 2011
    Talking about Tinkerbell, "I saw her, but."
    "Taylor, here's your dog, but."

"Mom. Who's Garblit?"  "Uh ... no one."  "Guhuh - Arrrr - Buh - Lit," said as if her pronunciation should make it obvious who she's talking about.  "Uh .......... no one."  ~ October 19, 2010

"Mom, how bout my bearslits?"  "Your what?"  "My bearslits.  That I was wearing."  (i.e. bracelets)  ~ September 22, 2010

While looking at the movie Monsters vs. Aliens, "That's Dr. Cockroach and the fish guy and the goop guy."  ~ September 20, 2010

"Payden, why are y'all playing in my room?"  "Because Declan wants to play jumpy jumpy on your bed.  He likes tall beds."  ~ September 20, 2010

Payden, who's been whiny a lot since she stopped taking naps, was crying about something.  Tom asked her to stop crying, and she replied, "I not crying.  I whining."  ~ November 17, 2009

"Payden, say littlest."  "Liwl-less."  Say Littlest Pet Shop."  "Liwl-less Pet Shop."  "What's that?" I asked, pointing to her Littlest Pet Shop animals.  "We're Peechup."  ~ August 31, 2009

Payden told me in a worried voice, "Mom, look.  It right here."  Concerned, I asked, "What's right here?"  She paused.  "Your butt."  ~ January 23, 2009

Every time we drive around, Payden has an excuse as to why we need to unbuckle her from her carseat.  "I too big."  "I need touch Declan."  "I too heaby."  (i.e. heavy)  ~ November 29, 2008

After seeing Tom put bananas in Taylor's cereal, Payden said, "I want nana."  "In your hand or in your bowl?"  "Yes."  "In your hand or in your bowl?"  "Yes."  "Where do you want it?"  "In my mouf."  ~ November 26, 2008

"Payden, what do you want ?  A hamburger or a hot dog?"  With a huge smile on her face she replied, "A hah gog."  "What do you want to drink, a strawberry limeade or apple juice?"  Still smiling big, "A hah gog."  ~ September 1, 2008

Payden is definitely a big kid now.  You ask her to come here, and she replies, "Just a seckie."  Then she continues to play until you come and get here.  ~ May 2008

Payden brought 3 bean bags to Tom and said, "Dad.  Here go.  Guggle."  ~ March 24, 2008
